Kenny Shutt
Background & Experience
Kenny has amassed over 30 years of income tax and accounting experience. He graduated from LSU in 1986 with a B.S. degree in accounting and passed the CPA exam in 1989. Kenny first worked as a staff accountant, and early in his career became a partner and then sole owner of a Baton Rouge based CPA firm focusing on income tax preparation, planning, and implementation of tax saving strategies for individuals, businesses, trusts and estates. He eventually sold his practice while maintaining a small portion of his client base. Over the years, Kenny co-owned an industrial contracting business as well as a local franchise restaurant, and held managerial positions at an IT company, a digital marketing and printing company, and a statewide advertising agency. Through it all, he continued to offer accounting services and is happy to be back at it on a full-time basis. Kenny and his wife of 40 years, Shannon, enjoy spending every moment they can with their five grandchildren.
